THE FANTASY WORLD OF MOROCCAN SKIING-Morocco is a fascinating
country that offers a little of everything--the an ancient culture
mixed with sea, sand, and mountains. This article describes skiing
in Oukmeïden, the best ski area in the Atlas Mountains, dromedary
rides and sand dune skiing in the Sahara, and hiking in the stunning
Dadés and Todra Gorges. We also discover the exciting atmosphere
of Marrakesh, with its narrow souks, and luxurious riads. The
story finishes when I fulfill a long time fantasy of reaching
remote ski fields on mule back. We do this in the High Atlas Mountains
near Mt. Toubkal, (4167 m.) Morocco’s highest mountain.
