POLAND AND SLOVAKIA

Mt. Chopok, Strbske Pleso, Tatranska Lomnica, and Zakopane-THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH, AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH--ADVENTURES IN THE TATRAS-My friend, Anders Karlsson, has teased me about the liberties which ski journalists take in their articles. He claims that it always seems to have snowed a meter of light powder on some unknown little village on the day before the journalist arrives there. The journalist then happens to fall right into the lap of some local Franz Klammer who guides him into every secret powder stash on the mountain. Anders joins me on this trip to the Tatras of Slovakia and Poland to discover that some very interesting things really do happen on a ski journalistic journey. Our travels take us to Jasna, Strbske Pleso, Tatranska Lomnica, in Slovakia and Zakopane, Poland. The article combines interesting factual information on the areas with humorous anecdotes about our experiences.
