Utah-SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY--ALTA REVISITED-This
is a story whose moral is, “You can go back”. The article
begins with a boy’s memories of Alta, Utah, the small, world-class
resort and renowned powder paradise where he learned to ski with
his family as a child. Twenty years later, he reluctantly returns,
hoping not to shatter his childhood memories. He finds that Alta
has retained its cozy familiarity, sense of history, and unique
atmosphere amidst the fast changing world around us. The story
is climaxed by a run down Baldy Chutes, the 42-degree couloir
