ALLE NEVADO, LA PARVA, EL COLORADO-These ski areas are interlinked, and together have more than three times the number of lifts and 25 times the acreage of their more famous neighbor, Portillo. My friend Antti-Pekka Auvinen and I enjoy heliskiing in Valle Nevado, but also find out that skiing in La Parva, where few skiers venture off-piste, can be like heliskiing without the chopper.
